    Milan’s match

Milan played Palermo yesterday, a game they won 2-0. Some excerpts from the actual match report that you can read by clicking “Read More”.Kaka was taking control of Milan and he tested Andujar with a powerful attempt from 25 metres, then his backheel set Inzaghi running. The irrepressible Kaka was brought down on the very edge of the penalty area and Pirlo’s subsequent free kick was charged down. The gallery has been updated. I would like to highlight once again that the tagboard is not meant for bashing/throwing insults at Ricky or anything else in general. Remember, we’re all here for one reason.

    Assorted Kaka News!

    1. Kaka wants Ballack at Milan?- Part 2 There is an addition to the article about Kaka’s desire to see Ballack play in Milan I posted two days ago. Apparently, Kaka would like to have coffee with Ballack!. (Imagine two of them in Starbucks ya’ll.. LMAO). Kaka has launched his own personal bid to lure Michael Ballack from Bayern Munich to Milan. ?I?ll invite him to come over for a coffee,? he said. Milan are in Germany preparing for their Champions League Round of 16 first leg match against Bayern tonight, but instead of the usual war cry one would normally expect ahead of a big European game Kaka only had words of praise for one of his opposite numbers. ?I like Ballack very much and I would happily play alongside him,? said the Brazilian playmaker. ?He is a clever player who has excellent technique and would fit in very well at Milan.?For his part, Kaka is certainly prepared to do his bit. ?I?ll invite him to come for a coffee with me in Milan,? he said. ?Perhaps he will like it and decide to stay.? . A Caffe Latte with Ricardo? Who’d turn it down?!. 2.?Fan of the Month for MarchYes, we are still on the lookout for March’s FOTM, so CLICK HERE and send us your entries!. There will also be a brand new spankin’ FANS section featuring Fan Fiction, Quizzes and a Caption-The-Picture contest. Stay tuned for all that, and if you have fanfic, I beg you to send it in as well!. 3. Kaka vs Riquelme for Adidas CampaignKaka is up against Riquelme for the Adidas +10 campaign. Each player will have to assemble a group of players (from the streets, nonetheless!) and the teams are to play against one another (the date will be announced later). The captain of Argentina is Riquelme and for Brazil, our Ricky will be leading of course!. I have screenshots from the video and they have been added to the gallery, together with other adidas goodies. Hear Kaka and Riquelme talking in this audio clipKaka says “We’re going to thrash them” with a cunning voice towards the end (it sounds like ” Mooka ba quele”). You can hear him talk at the beginning as well!. ROFL. It’s in Portugese by the way.

    Kaka News

    1. Kaka urges Ballack to join AC MilanKaka has urged Bayern Munich midfielder Michael Ballack to join him at AC Milan next season.Ballack is a Bosman target for some of Europe’s biggest clubs and Brazil international Kaka said: “Michael appeals a lot to me and I would happily play with him.”He’s an intelligent player, possesses an excellent technique. He’s a champion who would go well at Milan.” 2. Kaka appeals to referees against fouls AC Milan arrived in Germany on Monday to prepare for Tuesday’s Champions League clash with Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich. After a disappointing first half of the season, the Italian giants have had something of a revival in recent weeks with their last three matches yielding 10 goals for to just one against. Kaka has been partly responsible for that return to form but the Brazilian star made an unusual plea to referees on the eve of his side’s biggest match of the season. “Us attacking players are used to getting fouled and that’s why we ask the referees to intervene against that, because it hurts very much. For defensive players the pain is maybe not that common and that’s why I ask the referees to do something, because it’s really painful for us.”: Kaka, AC Milan.Sources : Sources Tribal Football/Zeenews

    1-0 for Milan

Milan, Italy (Sports Network) – Alberto Gilardino scored on a penalty kick early in the match to give AC Milan a close but sure win over Cagliari to move into the league’s second place spot. With 57 points, AC Milan is making a valiant effort at catching up to first place Juventus, who lead by 10 points. AC Milan had its best chance at scoring in the 23rd minute, when defender Michele Canini committed a foul inside of the penalty area. Gilardino took the free kick, and sent Cagliari goalkeeper Antonio Chimenti in the opposite direction to take the lead. A fine team move eventually fell to Kaka, but he couldn’t get power behind the finish from six yards on Gattuso’s floated pass .Cagliari remained dangerous on the counter-attack and it took a decisive Serginho tackle to prevent Mauro Esposito sweeping in Suazo’s cut-back nine minutes from time. Clarence Seedorf looked set to close up the game in Milan’s favour with an impressive run and combination with Kaka, but Chimenti stuck out a foot to parry his precise angled drive.Other NewsArticle : Kaka’s destiny and thoughts on various peopleFor more news (apparently, our Ricky is feeling very excited over the new Rossoneri mascot, Milanello), click ‘READ MORE’.

    More Brasil News

WELLINGTON: Defending champions Brazil have chosen lowly New Zealand for their final tune-up before the football World Cup Finals in Germany, in a move which has stunned the match-starved New Zealand. The prospect of facing Brazil a week before the Finals in June is ?jaw-dropping stuff?, said New Zealand captain Danny Hay. ?There’s just one word for it ? unbelievable,? he said when it was confirmed the match would take place in Geneva on June 4. The All-Whites, who played just one international last year, are now trying to arrange two warm-up games of their own in Europe before the Brazil match, and will also play Chile twice in April. Brazil, seeking a record-extending sixth World Cup triumph in Germany, are expected to field a full-strength line-up ? including superstars such as Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Kaka and Roberto Carlos ? in their last hit-out before the World Cup.Don’t forget to watch Milan vs Cagliari (19:30 cet).

    Player of the week!

Football Italia has named Kaka as their Player of their week following his impressive weekend display against Reggina. Here are a few excerpts, and you can read the full article after that. Despite the absence of the experienced Clarence Seedorf alongside him in midfield – not to mention a central spine devoid of Andriy Shevchenko and Alessandro Nesta ? Kaka took on the responsibility of taking the game to Reggina with a maturity beyond his years. Milan?s case was not helped by the Amaranto taking an early lead in a game Carlo Ancelotti had described beforehand as a ?must-win match?. But Kaka responded in style by taking the ball past three players before setting up Inzaghi to equalise just three minutes later. After Gilardino had made it 2-1, the youngster began a delightful counter-attack on the stroke of half-time which culminated in Inzaghi scoring again, only for the goal to be disallowed for offside. Reggina simply had no answer to the silky South American (WORD!!), who was central to almost every Milan move, and six minutes after the restart his weaving run and cut-back gifted Inzaghi his second. The Samba star gave an equally sumptuous display in midweek when the Rossoneri trounced Treviso 5-0 and it is becoming evermore apparent that for Ancelotti?s men to play well, their brilliant Brazilian needs to be on form. His slump early in the New Year coincided with Milan?s failure to find the net and a particularly poor display in his side?s 1-0 defeat to Roma found the attacking midfielder the subject of heavy criticism for his showing. It is easy to forget, though, that Kaka is still only 23, given that he is already a World Cup winner and has been a virtual ever-present since arriving from Sao Paulo for just under ?5m three seasons ago. ?Kaka interprets his role in the hole in his own unique way. He is very dynamic and quick, he covers runs into the area very well,? said Ancelotti last week. [FULL Story]Also, this is the roster for the friendly against RussiaGoalies: Dida (AC Milan) and Julio Cesar (Inter Milan).Defenders: Cicinho (Real Madrid), Maicon (Monaco), Roberto Carlos (Real Madrid), Gustavo Nery (Corinthians), Juan (Bayer Leverkusen), Lucio (Bayern Munich), Cris (Lyon) and Luisao (Benfica).Midfielders: Emerson (Juventus), Edmilson (Barcelona), Gilberto Silva (Arsenal), Ze Roberto (Bayern Munich), Juninho Pernambucano (Lyon), Kaka (AC Milan), Ricardinho (Corinthians) and Ronaldinho (Barcelona)Forwards: Ronaldo (Real Madrid), Adriano (Inter Milan), Robinho (Real Madrid) and Fred (Lyon)[MATCH REVIEW]
