    Brazil News and Help needed

Brazil’s International Friendly ScheduleBrazil will play two matches on Sept 3 (Argentina) and Sept 5 (Wales). I have obtained flight departure and arrival details so for those in London who have been asking when or how you can see your favorite players, read carefully. The Brazilian squad will leave Guarulhos International Airport (Sao Paolo) on Thursday on flight RG 8740 (Time 21:55). They will transit at Frankfurt, Germany (14:30) and will depart for London in flight LH 4736 (arrival time approx 16:55, Friday). They will then proceed to the Hilton Hotel, which will be their home for the duration of their stay. If you need more details, I’ll e-mail you the entire schedule (that is if you’re really serious about seeing them). TrainingsThe squad will train at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday before playing Argentina. They will also train on Monday at the White Hart Lane Stadium before facing Wales. Capello Confirms a No-No transfer for KakaReal Madrid president Roman Calderon has confirmed that Real has indeed given up on Milan’s Kaka – for the time being at least. “I promised him to our supporters and I was convicted to do this but I knew for Milan he was untransferable. “We will see for the future, maybe next year.” HELP NEEDED!1. I need help on a name for our Fanclub. I figured it’d be really boring if we just called it a ‘fanclub’. Do you have any ideas?. I’m thinking it’d have to be something you’d call a  Kaka Fan or a Kaka Maniac… “Kakazete”, “KA-Zete” or something along those lines. Please just throw your word ideas by commenting, as random as it sounds. And it doesn’t have to be in English. 2. If any of you are from Brazil, I need help from you as well. I just need to know a few things about your language and music. Do comment if you can help!. OBRIGADO!. Sources : CONFEDERA??O BRASILEIRA DE FUTEBOL, Sky Sports

Milan’s Champions League GroupThe Champions League group stages have been drawn and Milan are in group H with AEK Athens, Lille and Anderlecht. Lille, an excellent French side, came through the qualifying round with little difficulty against Rabotnicki Skopje, 3-0 in the first leg and 1-0 in the return. AEK also came through a preliminary round, defeating Hearts 2-1 and 3-0 while Anderlecht find themselves in the group stage as Belgian champions. Here are the upcoming fixtures : September 13: Milan-AEK Athens Sebtember 26: Lille – Milan October 17: Anderlecht – Milan November 1: Milan – Anderlecht November 21: AEK – Milan December 6: Milan – LilleKaka’s match fixtures will be updated with these dates along with the upcoming Serie-A fixtures that will be drawn on the 30th of August. Ronaldo/Kaka swap deal failsAC Milan’s bid to lure Brazil legend Ronaldo away from Real Madrid has failed . Talks on the transfer of the three-time FIFA World Player of the Year and two-time world champion have “definitively” fallen through, the Milan club said on its website Friday. AC Milan execs have been in Madrid all week trying to get Real to lower their asking price for the ‘Phenomenon’, who revived his market value at this summer’s World Cup with strong displays after a dismal start in Brazil’s ultimately disappointing campaign .According to Italian media reports, Milan Deputy Chairman Adriano Galliani was prepared to go as high as 16 million euros for the veteran ace, who turns 30 in a month .But Real President Ramon Calderon was holding out for a 28-million-euro deal that included Milan’s Brazil 24-year-old midfield star Kaka’, the reports said. Not so good news?

Dunga does not guarantee both Kaka and Ronaldinho’s placesKaka and Ronaldinho face the possibility of fighting for their places, according to Dunga. The newly appointed Brazilian coach has said that he is not omitting the idea of leaving one of them on the bench for the upcoming fixture against Argentina. He also added that no one in the team should be absolutely sure of their places.”I don’t work with just two players, but twenty two of them. According to progress they have made in trainings, I will choose the starting line-up” he said. With Carlos Alberto Parreira, Kak? and Ronaldinho’s places in the Brazilian team were guaranteed. They formed the ?magical quartet? with Adriano and Ronaldo. Quotes and Tidbits…1. The president of Real Madrid, Roman Calderon has said – “Milan does not understand the problem is not about the money. We want Kaka, it’s not about the money”.2. The Champions League draw will be made today (18:00 CET). Read about the draw procedure and see the seeded teams and more here. Stay tuned to know which team AC Milan gets drawn with!. Milan win at Belgrade

Milan wins at BelgradeKaka celebrates Seedorf’s goalAC Milan moved confidently into the Champions League group stages with a 3-1 aggregate win over Red Star Belgrade in the third qualifying round last night. Goals from Italy World Cup winner Filippo Inzaghi and Dutchman Clarence Seedorf gave the six-time European champions a 2-1 second-leg win in front of a passionate 55,000 Belgrade crowd.Inzaghi fired Milan ahead with a close-range header in the 29th minute and Seedorf doubled the lead in the 78th after rifling home from close range. Red Star striker Dusan Djokic salvaged some pride for Serbia’s champions two minutes later when he volleyed in Nikola Zigic’s cross. The gallery has been updated with pictures from the match. You can download the match highlights [here].Ronaldo/Kaka swap all over pressKaka/Ronaldo at Japan 2002 and Germany 2006The worldwide press is talking about the possibility of a Ronaldo/Kaka swap for Milan and Madrid again. I will cite as many sources as possible, but again, please do not assume everything is confirmed because you know how the press has treated Kaka’s transfer rumors in the past. * Ronaldo/Kaka involved in ‘war’ between their clubsBrazilian icon Ronaldo and his international teammate Kaka are at the heart of a bizarre tug of war between Real Madrid and AC Milan. Madrid coach Fabio Capello had claimed on Tuesday that Ronaldo would be going nowhere despite continued press speculation in Spain and Italy that he will be swapped for Milan’s Kaka. Capello said he was interested in acquiring Kaka but his president Ramon Calderon later came out on Cadena Ser radio to claim a swap deal was possible.”Swapping Ronaldo for Kaka would not be a bad idea,” said Calderon. However, that stance contrasted sharply with his coach’s position. “Ronaldo is a great player who interests every team but who wants to stay (at Real),” said Capello, the former Juventus coach. “He is important for us because (Ruud) van Nistelrooy is the only other centre forward that we have while waiting for Ronaldo.” The Brazilian is currently recovering from a minor operation he underwent after the World Cup. Having added Mali international midfielder Mahamadou Diarra from French champions Lyon this week, to bring his close season recruitment drive – which included former Juventus pair Fabio Cannavaro and Emerson – to four players, Capello has not given up hope of signing Kaka as well.”Kaka is one of those rare players who can make the difference and for us he is a priority. But if he is not for sale, we cannot buy him.” But after qualifying for the group stages of the Champions League, by knocking out Red Star Belgrade over two legs, Milan complicated matters by claiming they wanted to sign Ronaldo. “Adriano Galliani (Milan’s vice president) is satisfied with the qualification for the Champions League and has officially approached Real Madrid to see if it is possible to acquire the Brazilian Ronaldo,” said a club statement. Galliani, when asked if he would be trying to sign the three-time World Player of the Year, added: “It’s possible, we’ll see.” Ronaldo himself had alluded several times last season that he would not remain in the Spanish capital after the end of that campaign after often becoming the target for the fans’ wrath during inept team displays.* Real Madrid and AC Milan to meet about possible Ronaldo dealReal Madrid’s president will meet AC Milan representatives Wednesday to discuss their interest in signing Ronaldo. Ramon Calderon said Tuesday he didn’t plan to sell the Brazilian striker even though Milan already has approached Ronaldo, who’s recovering from a knee injury.”We have to listen to the player’s opinion and that of our training staff,” Calderon told Cadena SER radio station Tuesday. Calderon hinted he would welcome an exchange for Milan forward Kaka, a player he promised fans while campaigning for his position in July. “Swapping Ronaldo for Kaka wouldn’t be bad,” Calderon said.Madrid’s new coach Fabio Capello said the interest in Ronaldo showed “he was still an interesting player.” The addition of Ruud van Nistelrooy to Madrid’s roster could affect the playing time of Ronaldo, who spent five years in Milan with rival Inter before joining Madrid in 2002. Ronaldo has two years left on his contract. MiscSome of you have been asking when the fanclub will be opened. Well, we’ve already chosen two fanclub mods and everything else will be made known to you in a matter of days.. so keep watching this space!. And if you have any wallpaper or graphics of Kaka, remember again to submit them all in!. Sources : AC Milan Official, Telegraph UK, AFP, AP (Associated Press)

    Count down to Belgrade..

Milan arrive in Belgrade for CL clashKaka arrives at the Belgrade Airport with prideItalian soccer team AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti said that Tuesday’s Champions League clash with Red Star Belgrade as the “crossroads” of his team’s season. The six-time European Cup winners go into the qualification-round encounter in the Serb capital with a 1-0 advantage from the home leg two weeks ago. So they only need a draw to reach the group stage of the competition. But Monday Ancelotti said the lead was too slender to allow Milan the luxury of letting Red Star have the initiative. “We won’t play to defend our one-goal advantage,” he explained. “We’ll try to attack and wrap things up as soon as possible because the Champions League is so important for us”. Probable line-up for today’s match against Red Star :Goalkeepers: Dida (1), Coppola (78), Kalac (16); Defenders: Bonera (25), Cafu (2), Costacurta (5), Favalli (19), Jankulovski (18), Serginho (27), Simic (17); Midfielders: Ambrosini (23), Brocchi (32), Foggia (83), Gattuso (8), Gourcuff (20), Kak? (22), Pirlo (21), Seedorf (10); Strikers: Amoroso (37), Borriello (12), Gilardino (11), Inzaghi (9). Kaka talks at a press conference while Ancelotti looks onKaka: AC Milan fans will love Ronaldo AC Milan midfield ace Kaka is keen to see Real Madrid striker Ronaldo join him at the San Siro. Brazil international Ronaldo is a ?10 million target for Milan president Silvio Berlusconi and Kaka backs the bid.He said: “If he can find the right motivation, he is still one of greatest in the world. To change clubs would do him good and his Interista past would not be a problem. “Ronie played for Barcelona and then went Real, therefore, where’s the problem?  “I believe that all the tifosi expect a great name after the big players that have left. “We’ve lost Sheva, Stam, Rui: Ronaldo can give joy to our tifosi.” Kaka talks about Sheva and ChelseaAC Milan midfield ace Kaka admits he’s taking English lessons, but has cooled talk of a move to the Premiership. A favourite of Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich, Kaka also revealed he’s keeping in touch with new Chelsea striker Andriy Shevchenko regularly. The Brazilian said: “I’m studying English because Milan has given me the opportunity to so. At Milanello I’m taking lessons because knowing English is important. “But, this does not mean what people may say (about moving to England). It will serve me in life, and I will continue to learn Italian also.”On Shevchenko, Kaka added: “I miss Sheva. He’s a great player and friend. We often stay in touch, two or three times a week, but I miss his daily presence. Sheva and I will be friends for all our lives.”Asked about Milan’s angry reaction to Shevchenko’s kissing of the Chelsea badge after he scored in last week’s Community Shield, Kaka said: “It was an instinctive action.”I know how much Sheva wants Milan to do well. He has done great things here and this cannot be forgotten in only a few weeks.” LMAO, he’s learning English ya’ll!. How ironic that I’m currently learning Portugese as well  The gallery has been updated with a few more pictures of Kaka in the press conference. Kaka..Brasil..Dunga..

Norway hold Brazil 1-1 to spoil Dunga’s debutNorway extended their unbeaten record against Brazil to four matches when they held the five times world champions 1-1 on former captain Dunga’s debut as coach on Wednesday. An inspired Norway side opened the scoring in the 51st minute with Morten Gamst Pedersen’s free kick from 25 metres unexpectedly bouncing past a clutch of players and looping into the top far corner of the goal.Brazil, playing for the first time since their defeat by France in the World Cup quarter-finals, fought back with striker Fred firing a hard, low shot inside the near post from 15 metres after a brilliant display of passing in Norway’s box. The Brazilians, fielding an experimental team without Ronaldinho, Kaka or Ronaldo, started slowly and looked vulnerable to counter-attacks until they began to dominate late in the game. They had several more opportunities to win against a team they have never beaten in four attempts but could not get past Charlton Athletic goalkeeper Thomas Myhre, who made some fine saves. * Again, please note, Kaka did not play in this game. Watch the highlights here. Kaka to be included in Brazil FriendlyDunga named 22 players for the upcoming matches against Argentina and Wales, on the 3rd and 5th of September respectively, in London. The Brazilian coach added three significant changes to the line-up – Ronaldinho, Kaka, and Rafael Sobis. Dunga did not, however, include Ronaldo and Adriano in the squad saying that players who do not maintain a certain standard of football will not be selected for the International games. After the two matches, Brazil will play against Kuwait on the 7th of October and Greece. The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) have yet to confirm the games. Dunga’s line-up for matches against Argentina & WalesGOALKEEPERS >> Gomes, FabioDEFENDERS >> Cicinho, Maicon, Gilberto, Marcelo, Lucio, Juan, Luis?o, AlexMID-FIELDERS >> Gilberto Silva, Edmilson, Julio Baptista, Elano, Kak?, RonaldinhoATTACKERS >> Daniel Carvalho, Robinho, Fred, V?gner Love, Rafael Sobis Calderon: Kaka will play for Real Madrid one dayReal Madrid president Ramon Calderon is confident AC Milan ace Kaka will one day play at the Santiago Bernabeu. Calderon admitted over the weekend that their pursuit of the Brazilian was over, but he said today: “I am convinced that sooner or later Kaka will play in Madrid. I have already said this: Capello and Mijatovic decide the sporting thing and considered other signings as high-priority and asked me to deliver the economic attack in another direction, especially towards Diarra”"It would be a mad-man who voted for me because I said we would sign Kaka. My success only begins and ends with Capello and Mijatovic”.Poll ResultsThe Results of last month’s Poll asking you guys about Kaka’s performance in Germany have been tabulated. Nearly half of you – nearly (46%) think that he was impressive and perfect on the pitch.? 25% of you feel that he could have done better and 20% feel that you’ll still remain a fan despite everything. Quite a significant number said he wasn’t very good and you’re disappointed about his performance. More Updates/Pictures

AC Milan wins 1-0 in SpainMilan recorded a 1-0 win over Atletico Madrid in the Teresa Herrera Trophy, the mini-tournament in Spain to celebrate Deportivo La Coruna?s centenary. Captain for the evening, Massimo Ambrosini scored the only goal of the game four minutes into the second half when he latched on to a mis-kick in the heart of the Atletico defence, following a Gourcuff corner, to fire home from close range. The Rossoneri showed they are moving in the right direction towards their Champions League return leg at Red Star Belgrade on August 22 and Carlo Ancelotti?s side will have a further competitive run-out on Sunday evening when they face the hosts Deportivo in the final. Kaka did not play a full match, he came in the 65th minute, replacing Vogel. Kaka says “pleasure to have Ronaldo in Milan”While in Spain for the Teresa Harrera Trophy, Kaka found time to talk to the press. He spoke about the rumors regarding his Brazilian International team mate, Ronaldo who currently plays for Real Madrid and has been linked with a move to AC Milan. “I will be happy if he comes. He is a great player and a great friend. It would be a pleasure for him to join us. However, I don’t know what are the possibilities of him (Ronaldo) joining us and I haven’t spoken to him”.However.. there are contradicting reports saying that Real Madrid want to swap Kaka for Ronaldo (not again, you say). Read it here.Gallery Update* Additional pictures of Kaka from the match against Red Star have been added.* Old Scans of Kaka (courtesy of Milly) have been added to the gallery. I understand some of you are not able to access it at some periods of time, and we are working to fix the problem. Sources : Terra, Sportal, AC Milan
