    Milan derby….

Inter win Milan derbyTen-man Inter Milan took a three-goal lead and only barely held on to beat rival AC Milan 4-3 in Italy’s biggest derby Saturday, extending its lead atop Serie A. Hernan Crespo and Dejan Stankovic scored during a five-minute span in the first half and Zlatan Ibrahimovic found the net one minute into the second half for Inter to lead 3-0 at San Siro. Clarence Seedorf scored Milan’s first goal in the 50th minute and Marco Materazzi restored Inter’s three-goal lead with a header in the 68th. Materazzi picked up his second yellow card for pulling his jersey over his head to celebrate and was expelled (HAHAHAHAHAH), leaving Inter with 10 men for the final 22 minutes. Losing 4-1, Milan almost pulled back for a draw with goals from Alberto Gilardino – his first in more than six months in the 76th and another by Kaka in the 90th. Inter improved to 21 points, three ahead of Palermo, which visits Fiorentina on Sunday. Milan remained mid-table with seven points, having started the season with an eight-point penalty for its role in the Italian match-fixing scandal. Inter went ahead in the 17th when Crespo beat Marek Jankulovski to head in a free kick. Stankovic made it 2-0 five minutes later with a long shot that entered just within the post and crossbar. Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti made three substitutions to start the second half – Gilardino for Filippo Inzaghi, Ricardo Oliveira for Massimo Ambrosini and Paolo Maldini for Jankulovski. The moves seemed irrelevant only 60 seconds later when Ibrahimovic scored on a counterattack with a mid-range shot that Milan goalkeeper Dida could have stopped. Seedorf pulled one back for Milan five minutes later, with a shot from the edge of the area that was deflected. Milan was energized and Oliveira’s shot two minutes later was stopped only by an excellent save by Inter keeper Julio Cesar. Gilardino then had a goal annulled for offside in the 57th. Milan’s brief spurt appeared to end with Materazzi’s goal, but his ensuing expulsion gave the Rossoneri more life. Gilardino leaped over Ivan Cordoba to head in Milan’s second goal and Kaka scored with a lob in the 90th. Kaka on Derby

Kaka’s Thoughts On Derby Game And More AC Milan and Inter will square off on Saturday night in a match which can already be considered as a decisive one for the Scudetto race. Kaka is all geared up for this delicate match and has one objective on his mind: winning.”It will be a game which will be worth 6 points, we want to stop our biggest rival.”We still believe in the league and also target the Champions League. Right now luck is not on our side. I don’t think that the fatigue of the World Cup is being felt, it’s the fact of playing every three days which can put us in difficulty.”It’s not the first time that Milan is going through a difficult moment, the importnat thing is to solve the situation in the best possible way. Milan is a winning team, it proved it in the past and it will prove it also in the future.” Kaka’s chat on ThursdayKaka had a live chat on ACMilan.com with fans on Thursday. The full transcript of the chat is available when you click ‘READ MORE’ below. Here are some photos from that event!. (Click on thumbnails) Kaka : The Main ManGiovanni Lodetti a former AC Milan midfielder, has highlighted Kaka as the main threat for this weekend’s derby. “Both are favorites and are good attacking teams. However, we have a main man – Kaka. He can do anything. But Inter has important players too such as Stankovic”. Again, would like to apologise for the slow updates.SOURCES : Goal.com, Datasport

    CHIEVO-MILAN

MILAN CLAIM NARROW WIN Marek Jankulovski’s first-half strike gave AC Milan a narrow victory over Chievo on Wednesday evening. The Rossoneri midfielder fired past goalkeeper Vincenzo Sicignano as his team won for the first time in five league games. The result will be a boost ahead of this weekend’s Milan derby against Internazionale.Carlo Ancelotti’s men lost 2-0 defeat to Palermo at the San Siro last time out, so there was a sense of urgency as they travelled to Verona. Scoring goals has been a problem for Milan, with Andriy Shevchenko having departed for Chelsea in the summer.Ancelotti will not be completely satisfied as his strikers missed a hatful of chances to continue their crisis in front of goal. Milan controlled the opening half but it was winless Chievo who had the first chance of the game as Matteo Brighi fired wide of goalkeeper Nelson Dida’s far post.Milan replied, with Alberto Gilardino serving an unmarked Kaka inside the box but the Brazilian’s close-range effort was saved by goalkeeper Vincenzo Sicignano. Milan were unlucky not to take the lead in the 19th minute as Clarence Seedorf’s powerful free-kick beat Sicignano but crashed off the near post.Milan continued to surge forward, and Sicignano did well to palm away Daniele Bonera’s volley that had taken a deflection from Kaka. The Rossoneri could have been punished shortly after, had a marked Brighi been able to get behind Sergio Pellisier’s clever assist towards the box.On the half-hour mark Kaka missed a golden chance to break the deadlock with his close-range effort cleared by a defender. Milan’s prayers were finally answered with Jankulovski striking his second goal of the season – a 30-yard strike towards the near post where Sicignano couldn’t reach.Striker Ricardo Oliveira twice had opportunities to double the lead before the break but right-footed efforts went wide of the near post. Milan should have been given a penalty on the stroke of half-time with Gilardino clearly brought down by Lorenzo D’Anna but the referee did not see the foul. Luigi Del Neri made a double substitution after the re-start with Simone Tiribocchi and Franco Semioli replacing Federico Giunti and Kamil Kosowski.Chievo came alive in the second half but struggled to get past the best defensive line of the tournament so far. In the 55th minute, Chievo almost equalised with Semioli’s header from Lanna’s cross going just over the bar. Chievo should have equalised on the hour mark as Dida failed to hold onto Tiribocchi’s close-range effort but a Milan defender on the goalline cleared the danger. At the other end, Gilardino missed a clear-cut chance with Oliveira finding the Italian international. Gilardino struck the ball into the stands, much to the disbelief of his team-mates.Kaka almost killed the game off with 10 minutes to play with a volley that fizzed wide, much to the relief of the Chievo keeper. Substitute Marco Borriello failed to beat Sicignano on a one-on-one. Chievo were forced to play the remaining five minutes with 10 men after Luciano was unable to continue following a knock.Milan still aren’t firing on all cylinders but nevertheless got the victory, while winless Chievo’s struggles continue. Many attempts by Kaka, he’ll score for sure in the coming matches!SOURCE : Sportinglife

Kaka admits AC Milan Scudetto chances slipping Kaka has admitted AC Milan’s Scudetto challenge is slipping away the 2-0 defeat by Palermo. Milan’s loss…..

Palermo climbs to the top with win over AC Milan Palermo joined Inter Milan atop the Serie A standings on Sunday with a surprising 2-0 win over AC Milan at the San Siro. The contest was truly a game of inches that saw the breaks go the way of the visitors all day long. Milan looked the stronger side in the first half, consistently testing the Palermo defense, but time after time coming up empty. The teams entered halftime scoreless, but Palermo took advantage of a mistake by Alessandro Nesta to go ahead 1-0 just after the break. Aimo Diana crossed a ball into the box that Nesta took control of, but failed to clear. The failed clearance proved costly, as Mark Bresciano gained possession and beat Dida to give the visitors the lead. Andrea Pirlo nearly leveled the match in the 60th minute when his free kick beat Alberto Fontana, but slammed off the far post and stayed out. The Rossoneri could not believe their luck just seven minutes later, as Kaka’s right-footed blast hit off the near post and bounded out to Pirlo, who was waiting just outside the box. The midfielder once again was denied by the woodwork, as his shot caromed off the opposite post, keeping Milan off the scoreboard. The hosts soon found themselves behind 2-0, as Dida’s clearance found the foot of Fabio Henrique Simplicio, who found an unmarked Carvalho de Oliveira Amauri at the back post. Amauri then deposited it in the back of the net for a two- goal Palermo lead in the 74th minute. Gallery’s been updated. What happened to Milan? Discuss?. (On a lighter note, I’m crazy about Real’s 2-0 win over Barca.. haha)

    Kaka talks to the press

Kaka: You can’t doubt my AC Milan commitment now Kaka hopes his goal against Anderlecht last night will end all doubts over his commitment to AC Milan. “There is a great rapport between Carlo Ancelotti and myself. I really wanted to hug him after that goal,” smiled the Brazilian following the 1-0 victory at Anderlecht. “The important thing tonight was the three points, but we mustn’t forget that we have to improve in many areas and always have to work hard.” Ancelotti told journalists that Kaka is “not ready to be a leader” at San Siro and the player agreed with this analysis.”I am not a leader and am still trying to learn from Paolo Maldini, Billy Costacurta, Gennaro Gattuso and the others who have more experience. Hopefully, one day players will look to me for the same thing, but I am young and am always learning.”I try to listen to those within football who know what I can do to resolve problems in my game and continue to improve.” “I prefer to look forward, but it did remind me of Bruges. It was a similar situation with the team in 10 men and this goal, so all our minds went back to that day. I hit it well, but the slight deflection changed the trajectory a little to put the goalkeeper off.”The Brazilian scored Milan’s 500th European Cup goal, but he remained analytical and highlighted the faults shown by the Rossoneri in Belgium.”We weren’t very sharp in the first half and were too static, but we reacted after the break and deservedly won the match.” Kaka: I want to end career at AC Milan Kaka has declared he wants to play out his career at AC Milan. The Brazilian, who is contracted to Milan until 2011, told MF Dnes: “I would be very happy if I managed to finish my career with Milan. “I lack for nothing in Italy, the country has made me a better player. I want to remain with Milan, few clubs in the world are comparable to the Rossonero.” On interest from Real Madrid, Kaka added: “I know that the club has great confidence in me and demonstrated it by refusing all those offers.” ADRIANO GALLIANI: ?Kak? is perhaps the greatest? Adriano Galliani spoke from the Malpensa airport after the arrival of the Rossoneri: ?Kak? is a really great player, perhaps the greatest or very close to it.?  Sources : AC Milan, Tribal Football

    Kaka scores!

Kaka leads Milan to a 1-0 winMilan’s Champions League clash against Anderlecht ended with a 1-0 win for the Rossoneri, courtesy of a goal from Kaka. His effort, a swerving shot into the top right corner of Daniel Zitka’s goal, was enough to give Milan the three points.Up until then, a draw had seemed a certainty, particularly with Bonera ordered off shortly after half time when he received a second yellow for needlessly kicking the ball away. Strangely, though, the dismissal helped Milan as Anderlecht pushed further forward in the hope of finding a breakthrough.Instead it was the away side who broke the deadlock as Kaka was given time to pick his spot, although a slight deflection off a defender certainly helped him out. Milan had managed to find the net just once in their last four outings and it was easy to see why in the first half.Ricardo Oliveira managed just one weak left-foot shot at goal before making way for compatriot Cafu after Bonera’s red card. Instead, it was strike partner Filippo Inzaghi who missed the best chance of the opening 45 minutes when he could not head the ball on target when unmarked in the area. The Italian international also failed to trouble Zitka in the home goal from a long through ball as he poked the ball wide of the right upright.Anderlecht were no better going forward, an inability to create anything in the final third meaning they rarely managed to get close enough to goal to worry Dida. The keeper did have one save to make, turning aside Mohamed Tchite’s low shot, while he was grateful to the woodwork for preserving his clean sheet when the crossbar kept out Roland Juhasz’s powerful header.DOWNLOAD Kaka’s goal [HERE] & Gallery’s been Updated. Kaka says his goal could prove turning point for AC MilanBrazilian mid fielder Kaka said AC Milan’s 1-0 win away to Anderlecht in the Champions League on Tuesday will prove the turning point in what has been a frustrating season so far for the Italian side. Before the Anderlecht match, AC Milan had drawn their previous four matches — three of them in Serie A — and only scored one goal.”It was so important to win, and away, after four draws. This will help us now in the Champions League and the Italian championship,” Kaka said after scoring the only goal of the game in Brussels, a sweetly hit shot from 25 yards. The win left Milan top of Group H with seven points after three games, two points ahead of second-placed Lille. “Anderlecht really pressed us and they hit they bar. But it was a great result and we deserved it,” he said. The Brazilian said Milan, who started the season with a minus eight-point penalty after a match-fixing scandal, had put their stuttering form behind them. “In the Italian championship we were deducted eight points and that makes it tough. But that is a motivation. I think we can turn the corner for a great championship.”Kaka also said Milan’s goal drought would end. “It’s just been bad luck that ball has not been going in…but the goals will come.”Magazine ScanKaka is on the cover of Forza Milan this month. I’ve obtained two scans, courtesy of Eleonora . If any of you have this and would be so kind as to scan Kaka related articles for the site, do e-mail me and I’ll give you a pineapple tart. Sorry, but dude, what’s with the Maradona hair? Also, the entire Kaka-changing-religion saga has ended, and it ends NOW on this site. There will be no more conversations or discussions about it, if you please.Sources : Skysports, Reuters
