    Kakaaaa

Kaka: Negative Run Is OverThe Brazilian midfielder expressed his satisfaction for Milan?s return to winning ways on Saturday night in Serie A against Messina.Kaka spoke after the Rossoneri?s win against the Giallorossi, which helped Milan climb some positions up in the standings and possibly leave the problems seen in the past weeks behind them. The Brazilian star also found time to praise the performance of Messina?s goalkeeper, who kept the Sicilian club in the match till the end.?The important thing was to win to put an end to this negative run. Tonight Storari was really good, as he made some real miracles and stopped us from closing the match before. However, well done to Milan.?Kaka failed to score, but was extremely good especially towards the end of the match where he put the Messina rearguard in difficulty and could have easily scored a goal if it was not for Storari who defended his goalposts well.CARRA: KAKA’S MY EURO STAR Jamie Carragher has revealed that neither clubmate Steven Gerrard nor hot favourite Fabio Cannavaro would get his vote for European Player of the Year. The Liverpool vice-captain believes the name the judges should announce on Monday is that of AC Milan midfielder Kaka.”I’ve read a few things that Cannavaro is going to win it because he was the best player in the World Cup.”But for me, my favourite player at the moment is Kaka. I think he’s brilliant.”Despite his admiration for the Brazilian, Carragher still maintains that no one could do a better job for the Reds than Stevie. He said: “I’ve said before I wouldn’t swap anyone for Steven Gerrard. If you brought anyone into our team, whether it be Kaka or Ronaldinho, and took Gerrard out, we’d be a weaker team.”The Liverpool captain is one of 17 Premiership stars in with a chance of winning the coveted Ballon d’Or, which is organised by France Football magazine and decided by a panel of journalists.SOURCES : Goal.com, Liverpool FC

    Record Breaking Transfer?

Real Madrid to make worldbreaking bid for KakaIRONIC MUCH?According to Italian Il Corriere dello Sport, Real Madrid Chairman Ram?n Calder?n is trying to keep the promise he made during the campaign that made him chairman of Real Madrid; He wants to buy AC Milan superstar Kak?. The chairman is believed to make a worldrecord breaking bid of 140 million euros.Any transfer for that amount of money will break the current record, also in hands of Los Galacticos, for Zinedine Zidane who transferred from Juventus to Real Madrid for 73 million euros back in 2001.If it is up to Calder?n, that record will be broken soon. Kak? recently extended his contract until 2011 with Milan but in Madrid he could make up to 10 million a year.People at Real Madrid aren?t very happy with Calder?n?s bragging. His bragging could make it hard to seal any deals in the near future since now alot of clubs will negotiate with dollar signs in their eyes. Recently technical director Pedrag Mijatovic had already noticed the consequences when he tried to negotiate the transfers of Fernando Gago and Gonzalo Higua?n.This information has also been confirmed by the Brazilian publication, Globo Esporte.Kaka to receive FIFPRO Top 11 players awardKaka will receive his FIFPro Top XI Award, following his recent inclusion in their top 11 players list. The worldwide association has also named his Milan team mate, Andrea Pirlo, to be the recipients of the prestigious award. It will be given out prior to the Serie-A match against Messina, which will take place at the San Siro tomorrow.Sources : Football-INSIDE, Netherlands, Globo Esporte and AC Milan

    Milan, oh Milan

Milan qualify despite shock defeat in AthensThree weeks after recording their first ever win in the group stages of the Champions League, AEK Athens posted number two when they stunned AC Milan 1-0 at a packed Olympic Stadium on Tuesday. The result did not, however, prevent six-times European champions Milan from reaching the knockout phase following Lille’s 2-2 draw at home to Anderlecht in the other Group H match.AEK climbed into second place with seven points, three behind Milan and one ahead of Lille, and will qualify if they win at Anderlecht in their final group match on Dec. 6. The goal came from a direct free kick by Brazilian striker Julio Cesar after Milan’s Clarence Seedorf had fouled Nikos Liberopoulos just outside the penalty area. However, AEK owed their famous win just as much to a staunch defence and the heroics of their Italian goalkeeper Stefano Sorrentino who made half a dozen top-class saves.Traianos Dellas put an early header over the bar but for most of the first half, AEK were on the back foot as Sorrentino kept out good efforts from Ricardo Oliveira and Kaka and twice denied Filippo Inzaghi. The Milan defence, including Alessandro Costacurta who at 40 years and 211 days became the oldest player ever to feature in the Champions League, was rarely troubled. The game changed, however, in the 33rd minute when Seedorf brought down Liberopoulos and Cesar fired low into the right-hand corner of Dida’s goal. The second half produced plenty of end-to-end excitement as Milan desperately went in search of an equaliser with qualification at that stage not yet secured. Both Sorrentino and Dida were busy, the latter having to make an acrobatic save to prevent Julio Cesar adding a second. Dida injured himself in the process and was later replaced by Zeliko Kalac. Hard though they pushed, there was nothing that Milan could do and the 60,000 AEK fans duly celebrated in a sea of yellow and black flags.AEK coach Lorenzo Serra Ferrer said: “It was a great night for AEK fans and for Greek football. The fans kept our team spirit fresh throughout the match. “AEK had never won a match before this campaign and no-one thought it would be possible for us to finish in the top two. Now we are one of the favourites to go through.” “We had our chances to score, especially through Inzaghi, but luck turned its back on us,” said Milan coach Carlo Ancellotti. Pre Aek.. and some Brazil talk

Kaka says he was wrong to face France in World CupKaka in training before today’s match against AEKBrazil midfielder Kaka said on Sunday he was not fully fit in the 1-0 quarter-final defeat to France at the World Cup and that he should not have played.Kaka said he had told coach Carlos Alberto Parreira that he was fit to play, even though he was still feeling the effects of a bruised knee which he suffered in the previous game against Ghana in Germany.”I told professor Parreira that I could play,” he said in an interview with Brazilian television. “It was my mistake…I was wrong to have played because when you play with an injury, it limits you.”In the World Cup, you’re amid all that euphoria and you don’t know what might happen.”Kaka also criticised Brazil’s World Cup preparations in Switzerland, where paying crowds of around 5,000 people watched their training sessions.”One thing which got in the way was the number of people during the preparations, it affected the concentration of the players and is something which could be improved in the future,” he said. Kak? aims for knockout blowKak? is hoping to continue his rich vein of goalscoring form in the UEFA Champions League tonight against AEK Athens FC and secure AC Milan’s place in the knockout stage of Europe’s premier club competition. The 24-year-old Brazilian playmaker, who struck a stunning hat-trick in Milan’s 4-1 win over RSC Anderlecht on Matchday 4, is top of the scoring charts in the tournament alongside Chelsea FC marksman Didier Drogba with five goals and he is eager to find the net again at the Olympic Stadium as Group H leaders Milan seek to secure their place in the next round. “It feels great to be at the top of the goals chart and I hope I can score again so I can stay top,” said Kak?, who admitted his return of two goals in 12 Serie A games was down to the tight defensive strategies employed in Italian football. “In the Champions League defences are more open than in the Italian championship which is much tighter so it’s more difficult to score.” Kak? shrugged off the club’s poor domestic record and said it would not have an adverse effect on this evening?s showdown. “We have had some difficulties in Serie A but the fact that we have experienced players helps us a lot,” he said. “The players know how to use this frustration we have had in a positive way. I believe we are favourites for first place as we were at the start of the competition.” When asked who would finish second in the group, Kak? plumped for LOSC Lille M?tropole as he said he was confident he and his team-mates would see off AEK. “I hope and believe things will go well for us and if they do then Lille must be favourites for second place in the group,” he said.MiscSome interview videos will be added tomorrow. I’ve been extreeeemely busy again so sorry if you’ve e-mailed and received no replies etc. I’m working on it  . Source : UEFA

Kaka VS Empoli ; in a newspaper article

Milan draw with Empoli 0-0Struggling giants AC Milan drew 0-0 away to Empoli Saturday ending a run of three defeats that has sank them in the lower reaches of the Serie A. The Tuscany hosts lie comfortably joint fourth on 16 points from 12 games, while Milan are fifth from the bottom on eight points as they seek to bounce back from an eight-point deficit received in the summer in a match-fixing trial. Christian Brocchi set the pace of Milan’s brisk but fruitless start firing narrowly wide on six minutes and was followed 10 minutes later by a Ricardo Oliveira drive that bounced off the bar above Daniele Balli. The Brazilian forward came close again on 45 minutes hitting the post, while right after the break his compatriot Kaka saw Balli save his close-range volley with a spectacular dive. Milan keeper Dida, one of Milan’s four Brazilians, got busy shortly afterwards blocking a searing shot from Antonio Busce and barely managing to deflect another effort from the striker on 67 minutes. No meaningful improvement for Milan came from the fielding of veteran striker Filippo Inzaghi for an indifferent Alberto Gilardino and of Frenchman Yoann Gourcuff for Andrea Pirlo in midfield. Kaka scores!!!!! (on my birthday!)

Brazil beats Switzerland 2-1 in friendly Luisao and Kaka scored a goal each Wednesday, helping Brazil beat Switzerland 2-1 in an international friendly. Luisao gave Brazil the lead in the 22nd minute St. Jakob’s stadium, and Kaka made it 2-0 in the 35th.The five-time World Cup champions gave one back to Switzerland in the 71st minute when Maicon scored an own-goal. “Against a big team, this is not such a tragedy, but we would have liked to have finished the year with a good result,” Switzerland coach Koebi Kuhn said. The Swiss, who are co-hosting the 2008 European Championship with Austria, qualify automatically for the final tournament.Brazil started without Ronaldinho, who scored two goals Sunday in FC Barcelona’s 3-1 victory over Zaragoza. He entered the game in the 62nd minute for Robinho, who started up front with Kaka. Still, it was defender Luisao who gave Brazil the lead by knocking in a corner after a marking error by Switzerland’s defense.”It was a good game, but there’s a lot to be improved,” Dunga said. Kaka’s goal, the result of a goalkeeping error by Pascal Zuberbuehler, showed up Switzerland’s lack of experience. The goalkeeper misjudged a pass from Johan Vonlanthen, leaving Kaka standing with the ball in front of an empty goal.Zuberbuehler has recently been dropped at West Bromwich Albion, a move that prompted fans in Switzerland to demand he be replaced in the national team. On the other side, Ludovic Magnin swept across the field, tackling and passing wherever he could, and the Swiss looked like they might make up for their lack of skill with sheer energy. A cross from Ricardo Cabanas in the 69th minute, unluckily deflected into the net by Maicon, gave the hosts a chance for a face-saving draw. But Switzerland’s game was wooden, and Alex Frei failed to make the most of his chances, missing a virtually open goal in the 80th after a free kick from Hakan Yakin.Brazil goalkeeper Helton took care of any other chances the Swiss had, easily parrying a shot from Tranquillo Barnetta in the 73rd and deftly deflecting an 88th-minute free kick from Yakin, who had come in 15 minutes earlier for Ricardo Cabanas.DOWNLOAD Goal [HERE] and the gallery has been updated!.Adri calls it the ‘birthday goal’!. Haha, I like it!. Also, thanks to everyone who sent e-mails and/or wished me!. Really appreciate it!.

    Kaka for Braseeeel

Kaka wants to end 2006 on a good noteDunga’s newly assembled Brazilian squad may have achieved good results recently. However, 2006 will remain known for Brazil’s dismal performance at the World Cup instead. Kaka is aware of this and says that there’s no need to make up for what has happened in Germany. In contrast, he thinks it is vital for the team to look forward to better opportunities.”This is our chance to end a year that wasn’t good. It is a chance for us (the selecao) to be together one more time and to experience a new squad. Before the World Cup, it was a different situation completely. We each had objectives, but things didn’t turn out like how we wanted them to. But like I said, the least we could do is to end the year with a victory. Now the planning for Africa 2010 starts. I will be 28 years old then and hopefully, be at the peak of my career. 2010 will be my World Cup” he said. Kaka also added that despite the return of Diego (Werder Bremen) to the Brazilian squad, competition still remains for a place in mid-field and adds that Brazilian football continues to nurture new talents to find their place in the National Team. “It is good to have Diego return for us. Competition is always good for our squad” said Kaka.About Milan, Kaka said : “We are doing well in the Champions League but badly in the Italian League. But now, it’s time for me to take my focus off Milan for a while and concentrate on today’s game”. Gallery has been updated.BRAZIL VS SWITZERLAND : November 15 (19:30UK)Kaka visits a factoryEleanora has sent in a picture from Forza Milan of Kaka visiting “a submarine called the Toti of science and technology museum of Milan”. Kaka also said it was a ‘particularly funny experience’. Also, did any of you read his World Cup Blog entry about the piano porter?. Hopefully his visit wasn’t as funny as that…. my friend and I laughed our asses off reading his account of the story. New Poll and Fan of the Month[.] Alas, October’s Poll has ended, and the question asked you what you think Kaka would be doing if he wasn’t playing football.More than 3000 votes streamed in and 25% of you feel that he’d be acting, 19% said that he’d be doing ’something to do with football’ and 15% of you said he’d be a business man!. Nice.Don’t forget to vote in our new poll which is a rather sad question in several retrospects, but do vote anyway!. [.] Say hello to our New Fan of the Month, James!. Coincidentally, he’s the first male we’ve had as Fan of the Month… So yeah all you guys out there, stop thinking it is gay and whip out your cameras already!.
