    Brothers

Kaka’s brother shines in Serie-BI figured it’s time we caught up with Kaka’s brother, dear old Dig?o and lo and behold… an article on his performance so far has cropped up…The younger brother of Kaka, Dig?o, has started to gain prominence in Serie B of the Italian Championship. The player who plays the position of a defender on the squad, helped Rimini to end the year on a good note. The team is now 1 point on top of Juventus.Digao, who is only 21 years, used to play for Sao Paolo. Like his brother, he went to Italy in 2004 and started to play for the Milan youth team. In the 2005/2006 season, he was loaned to Rimini and has been playing ever since. His contract with Milan is up to 2011 and he hopes to play alongside his brother.Kaka longs to play with brother one dayIn an interview with Globo Esporte, Kaka announced his desire to play alongside his brother in the Brazilian squad one day. He also noted that 2007 would be a crucial year for the selecao, as they will be preparing for the 2008 Summer Olympics. Kaka hopes that Brazil will secure a gold, and he hopes to do so with Digao in the squad. He said : “It would be an honour to be part of the Olympics. Besides the fact that it’s a historical event, it will also be a dream to be able to play with my brother in the squad. He is very promising in Serie-B and has been important in ensuring that they don’t drop points in the table”. Awww… brothers unite!.Sources : Futebol Total, Globo Esporte

    Udinese/Milan

Kaka dazzles as AC Milan thump UdineseA kiss on the ring for a fantastic anniversary!AC Milan continued their recent impressive form with an easy 3-0 victory at struggling Udinese.Kaka produced a virtuoso midfield display to put the game out of Udinese’s reach before half-time.He handed the Rossoneri the lead after 31 minutes with a coolly-taken penalty after he had been hauled down in the area by Giampiero Pinzi. And the visitors doubled their advantage just four minutes later when Alberto Gilardino scored with a stunning acrobatic volley. The imperious Kaka was withdrawn just seven minutes into the second period, but the damage was already done. But there was still time for Milan to score a third, though, as Ricardo Oliveira took advantage of some casual defending from the home defence to seal the three points late on.Udinese coach Giovanni Galeone admitted: “The scoreline was too harsh and we were tired after playing so much recently. I’m not afraid we’re going to lose Vincenzo Iaquinta in January as I don’t believe he has asked to leave. We want to get fourth place, so to sell a player of his quality would be like giving up. In fact, if anything I expect some January reinforcements.”Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti said: “We are improving and can be more relaxed over the Christmas break with these two consecutive victories behind us. It was a tough time, so everyone put in the extra effort to end the year on a high. We hope that has been enough to put an end to the difficult period.” Download the goal [here] / View the updated gallery!MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM US ALL!My good mate and a huge Kaka fan, Bekie and I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you a Merry Christmas, and Kaka & Carol too, if you’re reading it!. After a long time…

A HEADS UPFirst and foremost, sorry for the lack of news on my part. I went back to the sports newspaper to work (we nearly secured an interview with NAKATA!) during the holidays which was why I wasn’t able to update this site daily… I’ve also received all your e-mail applications and will go through them sometime this week. I’ll make the decision hopefully, before New Year’s Day, so keep a lookout!. Anyway, some old news…1. Kaka scored a goal earlier this week [READ](Photos have been added to the gallery)2. Today is Kaka and Caroline’s 1 year Wedding Anniversary!. Happy Anniversary to the Hottest Couple on Planet Earth!3. KAKAFANS.NET EXCLUSIVEMy friend, a sports journalist at the newspaper I’m working at now, met Kaka at this year’s World Cup and he took the following photo…ENJOY! (but what’s with the plastic bag?)

    History…

KAKAFANS.NET was launched in December 2005, 2 days before Kaka’s wedding to Caroline Celico (incidentally). It was set up primarily to meet the ever-growing demands of the Kakazetes, especially English-speaking ones.

Initially hosted by Honey (at still-alive.org), the site steadily grew in numbers and as of December 2007, registered 1.5 million hits on the gallery, and an average of 10,000 clicks per day during the World Cup month.

Despite over-growing competition from other sites, KAKAFANS.NET still remains the most definitive Kaka site out there, through our links with AC Milan representatives and fans.

We thank you for your support!

    Meeting Kaka…

Inevitably, this thought is in every fan’s mind. Well, in this section alone, we gather opinions from Kakazetes and fans alike and ask them -
What would you do/ say to Kaka if you were given the chance to meet him?. Want your opinions featured?

    E-mail us at KAKAFANS.NET@GMAIL.COM

Adrianna – First, I will give him a tender hug and I would be calm for sure.
Second ,I’d tell him that he is a very nice player that I’m a huge fan. And that he is the best of course ;)
Third I would ask him how is sheva (and his address) , gila, paolo, nesta, rino, cafu and all the milan team..lol :D
Fouth I would ask for and autograph and a picture :) and…
Fifth I would thank him and say : Bye Ricky ti amo :) :) :) :)

Ash – I’m pretty sure I’d be speechless. So what would I say?. All the things that really matter (I’m a big fan, he is phenomenal and I run a site for him!), and I’ll try not to tell him that he gets a 10/10 in my books based on looks, that’s quite shallow. And I’ll make him do dumb faces and take loads of candid shots of him and me. That’d be fun!. I’ll throw in a mega hug as well and relish that moment forever.

Honey – First of all I wouldn’t say anything because of the the emotion (lol)…and then when he’s leaving I will shout I LOVE YOU RICKY!!! hahaha!!

Vic – Firstly, I would shake his hand and grab it totally for a minute and not let go! Secondly, I would ask him about why he loves Milan that much that he wants to end his career there! Then after he answesr, I would ask him “Do you love milan as much as you love your FANS?” his answer would be “YES!”(lol) Then finally, i would ask him whether i can have one of his Milan jersey kits that he had worn before in games with his signature on it (of course WASHED) and a hug as a present :D

    THE WEDDING

It was an event dubbed “responsible for thousands of teenage girls all over the world sobbing hysterically” by the press. Yet, on the 23rd of December 2005, Ricardo Kaka took his long time girlfriend, Caroline Celico to be his wife. The news was abrupt. Kaka himself had mentioned in a previous interview that he intended to marry only after the World Cup while Caroline “sorted out her studies”. Instead, the Brazilian player chose not to wait and thus, the couple who met when she was 13, got hitched in a ceremony attended by 900 guests.

    Denial issued / help needed

I told you that he’ll come out and say it… I TOLD YA. Hey, do you think we could send this in to Guiness World Records for the Most Number of Times a Player Has Had to Deny A Transfer?. Yes, I think we should. Kaka denies a moveAC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi appeared on the club’s Milan channel yesterday with Kaka to refute reports from Spain of new talks with Real Madrid over a summer move for the Brazilian. Berlusconi said: “I can say that Milan today acknowledges him as a standard bearer for the club, not only for his qualities as an athlete, but also for his human qualities. He has a clean-cut image, is a great boy, I’m sure that with his beauty he is very likeable for the female fans, but also the male fans can respect him because of his sincerity.”Kaka also said: “I am very happy with these words, Milan is a very big club, I consider it the largest in the world. And my strongest desire is to remain here.”Berlusconi added: “Well, therefore I am calm. We knew already the truth in 2003, when he arrived in Milan, that he was a great player, but frankly I did not think he’d become the symbol of Milan. I feel very proud of having with us the No1 player in the world.” We’re looking for staffHey guys, the site is turning 1 very soon and we’re looking for people to join us on board the Kakafans crew. I’ve thought about this a lot, and I realised that I really need help in terms of updating and revamping everything. I hardly have time to do it these days. A few of you have e-mailed me about your interest and I’m very grateful for it… so here goes. I’m looking for.1. Brazilian News Updater2. Italian News Updater (may need 2)3. Spanish News Updater (*optional)What this means is that the updaters are to monitor the various press very closely (I’ll tell you how to go about doing that once you’re chosen).4. Gallery Updater 5. Layout Maintainer (maintain the site look, buttons, links etc)Also, it doesn’t matter if you can’t write, or make fantastic layouts or do things that are worth an A+ grade… I’m looking for people who are 100% committed to what they’re doing. You must also be willing to sacrifice some of your time. So if you want to join the biggest Kaka website out there, hit the e-mail button!.
