    Brazil/Ghana

Keeper Julio Cesar helps Brazil sneak win against Ghana Vagner Love scored the winner in a rematch of the 2006 World Cup second-round tie which Brazil won 3-0 but Julio Cesar was their most important player. He made his first notable save in the 15th minute when he tipped away Eric Addo’s close-range header. Two minutes later, Brazil won a corner, Kaka headed on at the near post and Vagner Love, unmarked at the far post, drilled the ball home for his second international goal. Brazil, who thrashed Chile 4-0 in Gothenburg on Saturday, had a chance in 45th minute but Ghana goalkeeper Laryea Kingston saved Love’s shot.Despite missing captain Stephen Appiah and midfielder Michael Essien, Ghana continued to threaten the South Americans in a surprisingly slow-paced game. Julio Cesar made his best save to turn away Laryea Kingston’s fierce drive from the edge of the area in the 50th minute.Ghana had midfielder Haminu Dramani sent off for a second bookable offence in the 77th minute, after which the game fizzled out with Brazil happy to sit back on their lead.THE GOAL : Other news * Real president still wants Kaka [READ HERE]Source : AP

    Brazil thrashed Chile!!

Yesterday as you know Brazil played against Chile and won 4-0. ?The Scratch? continues it preparation for the America Cup, which is going to be played in a few months in Venezuela (South America), with all the football teams of this continent.Chile was controlling the match, when the referee saw a penalty, and Ronaldinho converted it in goal, after that Ricky scored the second goal with a beautiful definition to the right angle with his right leg. With only those two moves Brazil was winning the match, and then ?the Scratch? diminished it game, thinking about his next game against Ghana on Tuesday (03/27/07 18:30 England time). Ricky seemed to be very peaceful, when he made the goal, he first hugged Ronaldinho and then the rest of the team, and only look above with his hands open like thanking God.The second half was more active. At just minute 12 Robinho, after a marvelous move of all the team, almost scored, but the goalpost saved Chile. Brazil started with his traditional show of ?beautiful game?. Ronaldinho had a free kick and scored again, and the last goal was of Juan at 59?. Before the fourth goal, Ricky had a clear chance, but the goalkeeper won that time. Chile didn?t demand Brazil very much; however Kak? played very well and was replaced at minute 78 for Diego. He was cheered, and he went to the bench raising his hands, clapping and greeting the fans who cheered him all the match .

    Kak?’s biggest dream

From the golden child to papa, Ricky Kak? spoke about how much he wants to become a father: ‘My most beautiful goal will be to become a father and be able to hold my first child in my arms. Certainly, football is my passion and as far as this goes there is nothing that I want more than to win with Milan. However, as far as my private life goes what I want most is a child.’ Ricky already confessed his desire during an ACMilan.com chat in October 2006. His wife, Caroline, also has the same idea in mind: ‘She wants it too. We are only waiting for the right moment, perhaps in six months or one year at the most. We have to keep her studies in mind. Caroline is less than two years away from graduating, but it’s up to her whether or not she wants to finish her studies before becoming a mom or do it at the same time. We’ll see what happens. No matter what, one thing is certain: I will soon become a father.’ Source: acmilan.com

    KAK? ON MILAN CHANNEL

‘We will see you all next season’Ricky Kak? was the guest on Milan Channel where he answered questions sent in by fans. The Brazilian was quick to point out where his loyalities lie and said: ‘Milan, the city of Milan is the most important thing for me, as a person and as a professional. I have only played for two teams: San Paolo and Milan. I am very attached to the teams, I am loyal by nature. That goes for my friends, wife and things in general.’ As for the rumours of a possible move: ‘In the summer I knew that Milan had done nothing and in the middle of the chaos I signed a contract. I renewed to show as an act of faith to everyone who wanted me to stay. I like playing for the team.’The big Brazilian family has a new member at Milan and Ricky was full of praise for Ronaldo: ‘He was always an example. I grew up watching him and today I have the chance to play alongside him, it’s wonderful. This is the special emotion I get from football.’ Another emotion is the Champions League: ‘I do everything for Milan, I am one of those who has not won the Champions League and I really want to win it. I wanted to be remembered as a Milan player who won a lot. I want to take many roads.’Kak? then commented on Dida’s contract exptension: ‘There exists two categories of goalkeepers: normal and out of this world. The latter can perform miracles, Dida is one of those. I am pleased he has extended his contract and a Brazilian who will remain at Milan as a team-mate.’ In a final salute to the fans: ‘We will see you all next season.’ That say it all in terms of where Ricky’s future lies.ShevchenkoWhile Ricky Kak? was appearing on Milan Channel, he received a surprise guest on the telephone as Andriy Shevchenko called to greet his former team-mate: ‘I have heard that Ricky will write his name in the Milan history books but I believe that he has already. He’s doing great things for the club and for himself.’ Ricky was of course delighted to hear from his good friend and said: ‘Andriy did a lot for Milan and that has to be remembered.’ Sheva has continued to follow Milan’s progress from London: ‘I have been watching Ricky has been doing, I am pleased for him and the team that the difficult moment has passed, especially in the Champions League.’ Ricky had something to say about the European competition: ‘Hopefully, Milan will get to the final but I don’t know if he wants to meet Milan in the Champions League.’ Sheva replied: ‘The draw worked out well because we can only meet in the final.’ He then added: ‘We got on straightaway and he’s a great star and a splendid guy. Thanks a lot for allowing me to greet the fans, I am pleased to have taken part today. I big hug to all Rossoneri fans.’Source: acmilan.com
