    Milan Draw

MILAN HELD BY CATANIAAC Milan’s struggles at the start of the Serie A season continued on Sunday as they were held by Catania at the San Siro.   Jorge Martinez gave Catania a 25th-minute lead before Kaka equalised from the penalty spot after Edusei was punished for a handball shortly after the re-start. The result means Milan have won just once this season and they now trail leaders and city rivals Internazionale by seven points. The Rossoneri had hoped for a shot of confidence ahead of their Champions League game in Scotland against Celtic next week.As it was, Milan struggled to break Catania’s stubborn defence and their negative run at home continued, having failed to win at the San Siro in Serie A since April 21.Zeljko Kalac replaced Dida in Milan’s goal with a shoulder injury sidelining the Brazilian.Milan started well and twice had the chance to take an early lead with Massimo Ambrosini’s volley going wide and Clarence Seedorf’s free-kick whizzing over the crossbar. Kaka almost broke the deadlock on 12 minutes as he got past two Catania defenders before also firing wide.Just when Milan looked to be on course to take the lead Catania scored.Kalac failed to deal with Giuseppe Mascara’s cross as he picked out an unmarked Martinez, whose precise header found the net. The hosts reacted and thought they had found the equaliser shortly after but the referee disallowed the goal.Andrea Pirlo’s free-kick hit the crossbar before Filippo Inzaghi struck the ball into the back of the net, but the strike was ruled out as Kakha Kaladze had previously controlled the ball with his hand. Shortly after, Christian Terlizzi almost gave away an own goal after deflecting Marcos Cafu’s bullet-strike, but fortunately for the Catania defender the ball went wide off the far post.Milan could have found the equaliser before the break but Ambrosini’s effort on goal was blocked by Inzaghi. The Rossoneri were given a helping hand shortly after the break with the referee pointing to the spot after Edusei had touched the ball with his hand. Kaka made no mistake and sent the ball to the right of goalkeeper Ciro Polito to bring the San Siro stadium to life.Carlo Ancelotti’s men pressed forward more aggressively and were almost rewarded but Pirlo’s cross went just over the crossbar. On the hour mark, Polito made a stunning save from Kaka’s close-range effort as the Rossoneri got closest to a deciding goal. Catania defended well and Milan were forced to try their luck from distance, with Massimo Oddo’s shot going way off target. With 10 minutes left to play, Pirlo’s central free-kick did not trouble Polito and Catania held on for a deserved draw.

    An update

Layout ChangeAs you can probably see, this is a temporary layout while the new layout is being worked on and stuff are being shifted around… it won’t be much of a change, except that the colours will be much nicer and relevant to most of you. The forum is still as accessible as ever as well as the photo gallery!Chelsea want KakaFree to shape the team as he wants, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is ready to smash the transfer market wide open with offers for Brazilian stars Kaka AND Ronaldinho.  The News of the World says Abramovich is prepared to commit £100 million to not only bring Barcelona superstar Ronaldinho to Stamford Bridge, but also AC Milan midfield ace Kaka.Chelsea marketing chiefs are convinced the arrival of one – or both – Brazilian aces would win back some of the momentum lost in the last 12 months as they seek to grow the Blues brand around the world.Ronaldinho, unsettled at the Nou Camp, could arrive as early as January, while Abramovich will also seek to trump Real Madrid for Kaka at the end of the season. Milan can win CL again

Kaka eyes repeat successBrazilian playmaker Kaka says Milan are determined to retain their Champions League title this year.Kaka starred as Milan beat Liverpool 2-1 in last season’s final in Athens and he is all set to kick-off this year’s competition. The Italians begin with a home match against Benfica on Tuesday, with Shakhtar Donetsk and Celtic making up the group.”One of the reasons for which any side has been unable to win for two years consecutively is because after having won a similar trophy you relax,” Kaka said. “I don’t think it will happen to us, because we are ready and we have the motivation to win again. We want to do what the others have failed to do.”Celtic are familiar opposition for Kaka and Milan and he knows what to expect when the two teams meet. “It’s my fifth season in Milan and I think I have faced Celtic four times and it has always been hard for us, either in the San Siro or in Glasgow. We must be ready,” he said.SOURCE : Sky Sports

Milan can win everything, yes, though they are struggling a bit in Series A again–but they will work it out. And Ricky will be a huge part of our winning. His contribution is immense. And I would like to add not only can Milan win it all but Kaka can and should win the Golden Ball this year too. If he doesn't, I'll chain myself to the same fence Carlo Ancelotti threatened to chain himself to, for the same thing… LMAO! Ricky Kaka, ahhhaa!

    BRAZIL – MEXICO, videos

Kaka strikes in 80th as Brazil too much for Mexico in 3-1 victory Kaka’s goal in the 80th minute off a poor clearance by Mexican captain Rafael Marquez helped Brazil to a 3-1 victory Wednesday night before a Gillette Stadium crowd of yellow-clad Brazil fans. The hard-fought victory was Brazil’s first over Mexico in more than three years. The two ejections, including Brazil coach Dunga, and five yellow cards were proof that the teams treated the game as the latest in a rivalry rather than the friendly it was.Brazil could have scored more goals – Ronaldinho’s dazzling playmaking providing the chances – only to be frustrated by Mexico goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa, who made several brilliant saves – 11 for the match – to keep his team in the game.Andres Guardado set up Juan Carlos Cacho’s goal in the 43rd minute, taking a pass from Nery Castillo on the left wing and drawing Brazil goalkeeper Cesar Julio to the right corner of the net before passing to a wide-open Cacho, who finished from 10 yards in front. The lead lasted just two minutes. Ronaldinho’s corner kick to the short side of the goal was met by a charging Kleber, who jumped and put his left foot on the ball, sending it to the far corner past a leaping Ochoa. The teams appeared headed for a draw when Maicon streaked down the right side and sent a cross toward the net. Marquez, called in for the game from his club Barcelona, blocked it but failed to clear the ball, leaving it nearly stationary for Kaka to slam home.Kaka had earlier misfired twice, and was smothered by Ochoa early in the first half when Ronaldinho lofted a pass over the defence and onto Kaka’s feet. But after scoring, he looked relieved as his teammates celebrated along with most of the 67,584 in attendance, which is near capacity and a new soccer attendance record for Gillette Stadium.Late substitute Afonso collected a goal kick and scored in the 86th minute, sealing victory for Brazil, which begins World Cup qualifying round next month against Columbia. Ochoa dazzled in the Mexico net. With the score still tied 1-1 in the 70th minute, he stopped a header by an unmarked Dracena Edu off a Ronaldinho free kick from 35 yards.Referee Baldomero Toledo threw out Dunga in the 94th minute after the Brazilian coach protested a call. Elano received a red card in the 56th minute, after trip away from the ball near midfield. Ronaldinho, Kaka and Kleber were booked for Brazil. Guardado and Gerardo Torrado were booked for Mexico.DOWNLOAD GOAL HEREKak? Reveals Reason Behind Brazilian World Cup Failure  Milan playmaker Kak? spoke about the possible reasons behind Brazil’s World Cup failure. Some of the more fanatical football followers might remember Brazilian fans’ assault on Weggis, the calm Swiss town where the Sele?ao held its training camp ahead of the 2006 World Cup in Germany. It was, however, a tournament which was played well below expectations by the Pentacampeaos, who went home at the quarter final stage after a 1-0 loss to France.According to Kak?, this failure was down to the poor preparations made by the Brazilian team during their training camp. The Milan playmaker, and favorite to win the Ballon D’Or, claimed the oppressive presence of the fans actually had a negative effect on the team.”Our flop was caused by the poor preparations we had at Weggis,” he revealed. “I remember that during trainings there used to be 30.000 people on the stands, which made it very hard for us to work properly and concentrate.”SOURCES : Goal.com

But Brasil still won. :D YAY!   And Kaka looked so cute during the whole game!! Adorable…<3

    Brasil, Kaka most expensive

More Brazil Training Pics Kaka To Inter: You’re Wasting Adriano’s TalentKaka has come out in support of his countryman Adriano by voicing his astonishment that the striker has become marginalized at Inter this season.”I believe that Adriano should always play,” said Kaka. “Regardless of the fact that he is a friend of mine, he enriches football and I don’t like to see him in the stands without playing, it means wasted talent.”Although he made no mention of the prospect, Kaka will have been happy to hear that his club are considering making a winter bid for L’Imperatore. Milan VP Adriano Galliani has not been shy to admit that Adriano would me more than welcome at the red-and-white side of the San Siro. Indeed, it was not so long ago at all that Adriano was the undisputed crown jewel of the Nerazzurri, but a dramatic and sustained loss of form due – in his own words – to alcoholism as a result of the tragic loss of his father, has seen him drop so far down the pecking order that he is now officially surplus to demands.AC Milan midfielder Kaka highest earning footballer in ItalyAC Milan’s Brazilian playmaker Kaka is the highest earning footballer in Italy with an annual salary of six million euros, according to a study published in Tuesday’s Gazzetta dello Sport.Other high earning players are Roma captain and Italy striker Francesco Totti with 5.46 million euros, Italy and Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon at five million euros, with three Inter players – Frenchman Patrick Vieira, Brazilian Adriano and Sweden’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic – earning the same amount.AC Milan has the biggest wages bill at 120 million euros a year.SOURCES : Goal.com, AFP

    USA – BRASIL

BRAZIL – USA Ronaldinho scored the decisive goal from a free kick as Brazil came from behind to beat a feisty United States 4-2 in a friendly on Sunday. The Barcelona forward curled the ball through a gap into the wall to put Brazil 3-2 ahead in the 75th minute, two minutes after Clint Dempsey had scored for the hosts to make it 2-2 in an entertaining game on a hot afternoon.A last-minute penalty converted by substitute Elano completed Brazil’s win in a match between the respective Copa America and CONCACAF champions. Brazil head coach Dunga said the game against an improving American side had been a good test for his team, who begin World Cup qualifiers in October.”It was difficult for us because of the temperature and a lot of our players are still (getting into shape after the) preseason. The U.S. is a very tactical team and very disciplined, even when they’re behind on the scoresheet,” Dunga told reporters. The U.S. opened the scoring in the 21st minute when Landon Donovan’s corner deflected in off the chest of defender Carlos Bocanegra. Brazil equalized in the 33rd minute through an Oguchi Onyewu own goal. Kaka’s shot was saved by U.S. keeper Tim Howard but cannoned off Onyewu into the net. Lucio’s far-post header from a Ronaldinho corner put Brazil 2-1 ahead in the 53rd minute. Howard dislocated a finger as he leapt to make the save but he stayed on the pitch after several minutes of treatment.Howard made impressive saves from Afonso and Kaka to keep the game close. U.S. striker Josh Wolff had a penalty claim waved away in the 68th minute.Bocanegra, who committed the foul on Daniel Alves that led to Ronaldinho’s decisive free kick, felt the Americans did enough to earn at least a draw. “I didn’t think the scoreline represented that game,” he said. “It’s difficult. The non-call on the penalty and their two dead-ball goals that came off of not much. It’s frustrating when we did play so well, to not get something from that game.”Brazil complete their U.S. tour with a friendly against Mexico on Wednesday in Boston. Mourinho And Wenger Tip Kak? For Ballon D’Or Lionel Messi has been tipped as an outside challenger for the Ballon D’Or, but Ars?ne Wenger and Jos? Mourinho believes that Kak? is the clear favourite. The FC Barcelona starlet has seen his stock rise over the past 12 months and is likely to be included in the top 50 when the nominees for the prestigious award are announced in October.Kak? as had a superb year, however, and El Mundo Deportivo’s attempts to promote Messi appear to have fallen on deaf ears as two of the top coaches in the game believe there will be only one winner.”I reckon there are six, seven or eight contenders for the Ballon d’Or,” Mourinho said. “But if you take into consideration the quality of the player, his fair play and the success achieved with his club, I would give this award to Kak?”.Wenger agreed that the Brazilian had been the outstanding player and believes his performances in the Champions League make him the strong favourite.”You have to remember that 2007 is a year without a World Cup, so the most prestigious competition is the Champions League,” the Arsenal boss said.”It would therefore be logical to award the Ballon d’Or to a Milan player and Kak? seems to me the ideal candidate”.Cristiano Ronaldo is also likely to be among the top names after he helped lead Manchester United to the title and won over English hearts after being criticised at the World Cup Finals. Kak? should have the edge over the Portuguese star after the Milan playmaker won the battle between the two players when the Serie A giants met United in the Champions League semi finals [HELL YEAH!!!!!!!]Add to that Kak?’s ten goals in the tournament and it is clear just how much influence he had on the Rossoneri winning the trophy in Athens against Liverpool. Other names in the frame include Real Madrid’s Ruud Van Nistelrooy, who finished as the top goalscorer in Spain in his first season, and AS Roma’s Francesco Totti, who netted a career high 26 goals in Serie A to win the Capocannoniere title.Outsiders who deserve an honourable mention are Chelsea’s Didier Drogba and Inter’s Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Ballon D’Or award is awarded to the world’s best player by French magazine, France Football, at the end of November and is seen as almost more prestigious then FIFA’s World Player of the Year honour.Kaka Unsure About Milan Future Ricardo Kaka made some unexpected comments to a Brazilian daily newspaper, ‘Folha on line’, as he declared that he was unsure about his future stay at Milan.”For this year I will still continue with Milan, but later on I don’t know,” he admitted. “I’m happy that my family feels well in Italy, but a lot will depend from Milan. I don’t want to stay in a place where neither the club nor I are satisfied,” Kaka explained.”My rapport with Milan is clear: until Berlusconi wants me, I will remain with the Rossoneri. As soon as the President will not consider me non transferable anymore, I will go elsewhere.”Kaka also spoke about the probable Golden Ball win. “I’m calm because to win the Golden Ball I do everything I can: that is I go on the pitch, play, train and do my job.”SORRYReally apologise for the slow updates guys… had to change my Internet connection. Everything will be back on Saturday, and I’ll upload the new LAYOUT! :) SOURCES : Guardian Unlimited, Goal.com

    Kaka, Pato, Dinho

Kaka in Ronaldinho’s TOP 5 ListTwo-time FIFA World Footballer of the Year Ronaldinho Ga?cho, has listed his top five players in the world, and included three of his Barcelona teammates in his selection. The Brazil international forward filled out his all-star list with AC Milan’s Kaka and Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo. In a commendable show of team solidarity, Ronaldinho included the 20 year-old Argentine and Barcelona star Lionel Messi in his list, but balanced his “treachery,” by naming fellow Brazil international Kaka in the five strong list which also includes Portugal playmaker Deco, and France star Thierry Henry.Explaining why he chose Messi, Ronaldinho told FourFourTwo magazine: “His progress is incredible. And when a Brazilian says that about an Argentine, it’s a huge compliment. “He’s so quick and keeps the ball so close to his feet that they have to foul him. And if they foul him close to the area we get a free-kick. “When I think of Leo, I smile.”Kaka’s stunning performance for AC Milan against Manchester United in last season’s Champions League, earned him a place on the list.”I knew he was a great player because I saw him developing as a youngster at Sao Paulo,” Ronaldinho said. “He went to places like Manchester in front of all those English fans and great players, and was not overawed.”He was the best player on the pitch, always moving forward with grace and ready to score important goals. Now Kaka is the complete player.”And Portugal winger Cristiano Ronaldo, was included because Ronaldinho loves to watch him play: “He dribbles a lot and has great style.” He said. “I love to watch him go one-to-one against a player because he confuses defenders. Manchester United are a great attacking team and I love to watch Cristiano because he’s improved tremendously in the last two years. “He is more of a team player now, less selfish. But he still provides moments of skill which can change a game.”Singling out Thiery Henry for praise Ronaldinho said: “He’s played at such a high level for so long and the consistency of his goal record is incredible, but he is so much more than a goalscorer. “Arsenal became one of the best teams in Europe and Thierry Henry was a major reason for that. Before we [Barcelona] played them in the Champions League final, we identified him as the player who could give us the most problems. And now it’s great that he is with us at Barcelona.”And Ronaldinho — full name Ronaldo de Ass?s Moreira — took a friendly dig at his teammate Deco, who although born in Brazil, took Portuguese citizenship when he played for FC Porto: “Deco is someone with a little bit of everything, a complete player. He supports me when I play for Barcelona and is always there if I need to pass to him. He can play, and — people forget this — defending is a very important part to his game.”Do I wish he played for Brazil? I still tell him that he’s not good enough to play for Brazil.”Ronaldinho’s list is included in a compilation of the world’s top 100 players produced by FourFourTwo magazine which also features the top five selections of England’s Michael Owen (Thierry Henry, Steven Gerrard, Ronaldinho, Kaka and Lionel Messi); Liverpool striker Fernando Torres (Gerrard, Kaka, Ronaldinho, Wayne Rooney and Henry); and Real Madrid’s Ruud van Nistelrooy (Messi, David Beckham, Kaka, Ronaldo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic).Pato Set For Milan Training Debut Pato, the Brazilian wonderkid, will today undergo his debut training session with the Milan first team squad. The youngster, a big-money acquisition from Internacional this summer – could make his non-competitive debut tomorrow.”My flight went well and my family all came with me – that’s the important thing,” he said upon arrival in the peninsula. “I’m delighed to be in Italy and will work to honour this famous jersey,” he added.Pato is ineligible to play professionally and competitively for the club until January 3 of next year, but could play in Thursday’s exhibition clash with Dynamo Kiev. For now, though, he is simply aiming to train.”I know Ronaldo and Kaka are waiting for me,” he smiled. After the Dynamo game tomorrow night, he’s set to remain in Italy with the rossoneri. He added, “I know that Milan drew with Fiorentina on Monday, and I saw some of the game on TV. I hope to watch the next one from the stands.”Coach Ancelotti, speaking in anticipation of the 15:00 (local time) training session, said, “When Pato arrives, we need to make special arrangements for him. “So we don’t need to think about signing any new strikers.”Pato has represented Brazil at U-20 level and was considered one of the hottest youth properties of the summer.[*]LMAO, Pato is hilariously cute.SOURCES : AHN, GOAL.COM

KAKA PUTS DRAW DOWN TO FATIGUEGoalscorer Kaka blamed AC Milan’s recent appearance in the UEFA Super Cup for their failure to see off Fiorentina on Monday.Three days after beating Sevilla 3-1 in Monaco, the Rossoneri looked set to maintain their 100% start to the season when Kaka converted a penalty – his fourth goal in three games – midway through the first half. But Adrian Mutu pounced barely 10 minutes after half-time to earn Fiorentina a share of the spoils.Kaka told acmilan.com ”Unfortunately we have paid for our victory in the European Super Cup on Friday.”A draw is, however, a result that we can be satisfied with. The team was tired after half-time.” “After the victory in Monte Carlo we celebrated and had little time to rest.”Kaka also voiced his support for Alberto Gilardino, who is yet to score this season and was substituted with 25 minutes to go against Fiorentina. He said: “With a player who works so hard and sacrifices himself for the team, we must have patience.” [SOURCE : SPORTINGLIFE]Kaka’s ArgumentOk… here are the pictures some of you have been speaking about showing Kaka’s argument with a Fiorentina player. I think Ricky was provoked, because he’s not the sort to lose his temper easily.

    Milan-Fiorentina

AC Milan held to 1-1 draw by Fiorentina in Serie AAC Milan dropped its first points in the Serie A with a 1-1 draw against Fiorentina on Monday.Fiorentina striker Adrian Mutu spoiled the Rossoneri’s perfect start to the season with a 56th-minute header after Milan playmaker Kaka had scored from the penalty spot in the 27th minute.Milan, which beat Genoa 3-0 in its league opener nine days ago, joined Fiorentina as one of seven teams with four points in the standings.Mutu scored against the run of play off Mario Alberto Santana’s cross. Fiorentina defender Dario Dainelli conceded the penalty when he tripped Milan midfielder Massimo Ambrosini in the area as he surged through on goal.Filippo Inzaghi wasted an easy chance to win the match in the 71st when Kaka slid the ball across the face of Fiorentina’s goal. However, the Italy forward somehow missed the ball and an open net.Fiorentina midfielder Zdravko Kuzmanovic also hit the post at the other end eight minutes from time.Three days after defeating Sevilla to win the European Super Cup for the fifth time, Milan should have buried Fiorentina in the first half. Kaka picked out Alberto Gilardino in the 14th but the striker could not beat Viola goalkeeper Sebastian Frey, who made an excellent one-handed save. Kaka looked for his second goal from distance in 33rd but his effort was off target.Former Milan forward Christian Vieri replaced Pazzini in the 62nd and six minutes later, Mutu went close to giving the Viola the lead but pulled his shot wide.New signing Emerson made his home debut for the Rossoneri at San Siro, coming on as a second-half substitute for Ambrosini. Paolo Maldini and Ronaldo missed the game for Milan.    DOWNLOAD GOAL HERESOURCE : International Herald Tribune, AP, Reuters
