KAKA SPEAKS OUT ABOUT HIS CONDITION

AFTER today’s training session at Milanello, Kaka spoke about his condition: “My conditions are improving and I’m training to come back for the second match of the league. Yesterday I did a test, I didn’t feel pain. Today I worked harder to get back to playing more quickly.”"I’m sad about not being able to be there for the first match of the league, I hope to be back for the match against Genoa, and I will be happy if we do as well there as we did last year.”"Tomorrow there’s the Uefa Cup draw, I’m unhappy I’m not playing in the Champions League this year. We will try to win the Uefa Cup, it’s pointless to complain. Fiorentina deserved to play in the Champions League, we hope to have learned a big lesson. For next year let’s hope we get into the Champions League zone earlier so we don’t suffer until the end.”"I’m disappointed that Cristian Brocchi is leaving, he’s found a good place, he will go to an important team. I wish him all the best because he deserves it.”"We will try to win the Uefa Cup to get back in front of Boca Juniors, then there would be the European Supercup and all the other trophies, it will be an extra motivation to win the Uefa Cup.”"I want to get back to playing, it’s not nice for a player to stay in the gym and see his team mates training on the pitch, but I feel I am on the right road, I feel good and I will be back shortly.” – AC MILAN

    FROM THE MAN HIMSELF.

Kaka denies all knowledge of move to ChelseaReports of Kaka joining Chelsea for a £80m fee look hugely exaggerated after the Brazilian committed his future to AC Milan and said he knew nothing about a move to Stamford Bridge.Kaka’s words fly in the face of English tabloid reports which stated Kaka would be joining Robinho in a double swoop by Luiz Felipe Scolari for his Brazilian counterparts. While Robinho’s move from Real Madrid is set to happen, according to agent Wagner Ribeiro, the Kaka move, rumoured to be tied in with Andriy Shevchenko’s return to Milan, looks dead in the water after the 26-year-old denied the rumours.’Me going to Chelsea? I’m staying as a Rossoneri player,’ Kaka told Italian sports daily La Gazzetta dello Sport.’I should help Milan to win the trophies we’re up for this season. The club have made some great signings and Sheva will fit in without any problems. If someone has promised me to Roman Abramovich, it wasn’t me.’I've always said I’m happy at Milan and as long as my aims remain the same as Milan’s I’ll stay here. Until now it’s always been that way.’My goal is to win, Milan’s is too. As long as we are like that, I’ll remain at Milan.’Milan are targeting a league and UEFA Cup double this season and Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani also denied any deal Kaka had been mentioned during the talks with Chelsea over Shevchenko. He told the club website: ‘In the issue of Shevchenko, Kaka was never, ever talked about and so the fans have to stay calm. We’ve been saying the same thing for two years.’

Milan: No Kaka option for Chelsea

Milan vice president Adriano Galliani has rubbished reports that Chelsea were given an option on Brazil star Kaka as part of the Andriy Shevchenko deal ? and has told fans to expect more signings before the transfer window closes.Shevchenko completed a move back to Milan on Monday after two disappointing seasons at Stamford Bridge, but the details of the transfer remain undisclosed ? prompting suggestions in the press that Chelsea could be given a chance to sign long-term target Kaka next summer for a world record fee.But Galliani insists no such discussions took place and has told fans that Shevchenko and Philippe Senderos will not be the last players to arrive at the club before the transfer window closes.“The market closes on Monday, but we will make other signings following Shevchenko and Senderos,” he told Calcio Mercato.“(Coach Carlo) Ancelotti should be very pleased with the signings ? now it is up to him to not fail and help us to win the Scudetto.“Our fans should be calm as always: in the return of Sheva, we never talked about Kaka with Chelsea.”There have also been rumours that veteran full back Massimo Oddo could be set to move to Lyon, but Galliani has played down the reports.“We have not yet spoken with the player. For now, all outgoing transfers are on hold.”

    Digao on 1-year-loan

AC Milan have announced that Brazilian defender Digao has joined Belgian club Standard Liege on a one year loan deal. The 22-year-old is best known as the younger brother of European and World Footballer of the Year Kaka, but since joining the Rossoneri from Sao Paulo in 2004 he has failed to get anywhere near the levels of his sibling. The centre back spent 2005 until 2007 on loan at Serie B side Rimini, but returned to Milan last season. He made just one Serie A appearance all campaign in the 1-1 draw against Lazio, and has not been particularly impressive during the current pre-season.Milan have now announced on their official website that Digao has joined Belgian club Standard Liege on a one-year loan deal. The Brazilian is the second defender to leave the Diavoli in a matter of days, following the sale of Dario Simic to Monaco. It now seems even more inevitable that Milan will go into the market for a replacement centre half, with Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic the hot favourite to arrive at San Siro.SOURCE : Goal.com

    Chelsea?s Kaka Deal Still On?

AC Milan playmaker Kaka is still interested in a move to Stamford Bridge reports The Observer, as both clubs continue to discuss a possible transfer for the Brazilian. The news of the potential deal first broke some months ago with Chelsea reportedly offering AC Milan £100 million for the Brazilian. However, since then all has gone relatively quiet on the Kaka-to-Chelsea front.Indeed the West London side had been more closely linked with a move for fellow Brazilian Robinho instead, however with Real Madrid reluctant to sell especially after having failed to sign Cristiano Ronaldo, the Kaka deal looks to have raised its head once again. The Observer claims that Kaka is still very much interested in a move to Chelsea and that the bid the Blues have made for the Brazilian is still under discussion at San Siro. The paper also quotes the player’s personal assistant, Diogo Kotscho, as suggesting a deal may be close. “I spoke with Kak? yesterday,” he said before adding, “We know that the clubs are talking about the transfer, although they have not reached a conclusion yet. I think an August transfer is still a possibility, though Kak? will only talk about that when they do a deal. He is waiting for a deal and then he will start to negotiate with Chelsea.”Whilst Carlo Ancelotti would be loathe to sell his star player, the arrival of Ronaldinho in Milan and the lack of Champions League football for his side this season has increased speculation that the time may be right for Kaka to end his AC Milan career. The player’s personal assistant, revealed that it would be difficult for the Rossoneri to allow Kaka to leave, but did not rule a move out. He said: “Normally, Milan do not sell their best players. We think they like the proposal, but it is not so easy for them to accept it. For now we must just wait and see.”Another factor that is thought to have irked Kaka is his club’s refusal to release him for the Olympics, despite allowing the newly-arrived Ronaldinho to attend. With fellow Brazilian Luiz Felipe Scolari now installed at Stamford Bridge, it would seem that Chelsea have much to tempt the world footballer of the year.

    Brazil Olympic Update

Ronaldinho delighted his legion of fans, scoring twice as he led Brazil to an untroubled 5-0 win over minnows New Zealand in an Olympic men’s football match here Sunday. The Brazilian captain and AC Milan midfielder, a clear favourite with the large crowd, was at the heart of nearly every decisive move as New Zealand struggled to stay in the match. The win underscored Brazil’s credential’s as likely finalists and put them firmly at the head of Pool C as they changed up several gears from their uninspiring opener when they beat Belgium 1-0.New Zealand were outclassed as Brazil scored in the third minute, led 2-0 at half-time and added three more goals after the interval. The win ensures Brazil a quarter-final berth with one pool game remaining, and coach Dunga warned Ronaldinho will only get better as the tournament progresses.”Finally, we start to see his smile. Not everybody knows that he hadn’t played an official game for four months, but a talented player like him will retrieve his form very fast,” Dunga said. “He will play as he should be playing in the following games”New Zealand coach Stu Jacobs meanwhile conceded his side was lucky to lose by only five goals.”The result could have been worse, and I don’t think we played so bad.”Manchester United midfielder Anderson opened the scoring in the third minute although it took him three attempts to get the ball past an athletic New Zealand ‘keeper Jacob Spoonley.A sliding Spoonley managed to get a foot to Anderson’s first shot and when the Brazilian latched on to the rebound Spoonley flung out an arm to save again although the ball went straight back to Anderson who headed home from close range.Pato scored the second 10 minutes from half-time when he picked up an incisive cross from Marcelo, and from side on to the goal he nipped the ball around defender Michael Boxall and past Spoonley.New Zealand’s best efforts came soon after the interval when they forced a series of corners. But the only time they came close to being rewarded was when Ronaldinho was forced to clear for safety and the ball went dangerously close to the woodwork for another corner.Minutes later the Brazilian captain found the net when he fired in a free kick, beating the wall and the keeper.Ronaldinho followed with his second from a penalty after being brought down by Sam Jenkins. With the New Zealand defence in tatters, Spoonley was called on to work overtime in goal before being beaten once more just before time when Sobis Rafael finished another break by Ronaldinho.
