Kaka Officially Madrid’s #8
Kaka attended his first medical at Real Madrid yesterday [click here for more]. He was then unveiled in front of thousands of fans and press at the Bernabeu in a Number 8 jersey.
He said : “When I spoke to the president he showed us his sporting project, and it influenced my decision a lot,” explained Kaka, who had attracted the interest of other clubs, including wealthy English outfits Chelsea and Manchester City. He’s a winner and everything he wants is with this in mind.
“I asked him if he could do everything that he said, and he has shown that he can. It’s a great privilege to form part of great teams. I’ve been fortunate to play with great players, and I’m now going to continue doing the same.”
“My experience in football has told me that talent alone is not enough,” said Kaka, who will be aiming to take Madrid past the last-16 stage of the Champions League for the first time in six years next season. I’ve met players with a lot of talent who have not been successful, and others with less talent who have been champions.
“It’s something else to have a team of players with talent who sacrifice themselves to achieve the same aim.”

Great number!! 8 is my birth date!! So Lucky he wears that number. Beside that, it same with my dream. I was dreaming at night before Confederations cup Final. In my dream I watched Real Madrid match, and I saw Kaka was running and then I just saw he wore number 8.
Last night, I saw sport news and I was so surprise that Kaka wears number 8. wow!! Amazing. My dream comes true!!

Yes, like you, i never think Kaka left ACMilan cos money. I always remmember his words: “milan and all fans will always stay in my heart”. We are a part in his heart and he is a part in our heart.
Fari kaka’,I am sorry about your childhood. Iran like my country, WAR, the peoply say:” No one like war”, so why is it still in there????. And “iran’s condition is terrible ,politic and economic problems r killing this country”. If your country have many people like you, Iran will be other fact better now. That’s lucky and great when you find hope.
I love Kaka and i have belief but i didn’t think someone can love and believe in Kaka like that… Still i read your thinking here. I begin to love Kaka before i like football. Look at him… In every match, in his smile, in the way he treat his teammate and fans( and all people), the way that he hug and laughed with the old teammate in a match, when they are rival. We cried when Kaka went Real Madrid and one day( no far), we will cry again when Kaka success.
And about the number, 8, i like Maria’s idea, Luca was born in 2008. He is lovely baby, i often come youtube.com and see his smile. ^_^
I like 22 number more than 8 number, and i like ACMilan more than Real so i think the life need a changes. It is really challenge with everyone. Kaka believe on his choose like we believe him.
Ahmmmm, number 8 is popular lucky number in Asia. Last year, Olimpic Beijing, Chinese chose date have many number 8, 8/8/2008, ( Popular Chinese like this number) And it is really lucky number.

Hello all kakáfans, I am going to explain why he is got number 8.
Number 22 was not available cause it belongs to Miguel Torres, the young (23 years) spanish Real Madrid defender.
There were available number 5,9 and 18. Kaká did not want to take number 5 as this was Zidane´s number and he has a strong respect for Zidane, but Gago the argentinian midfielder likes number 5 cause to the argentinians has a strong value as a midfielder, so he was happy to take number 5 and give his number 8 to Kaká who liked it a lot. Number 8 has been on the back of fantastic Real Madrid players like: Amancio,Breitner, Michel, Mijatovic.
So we, Real Madrid fans are happy that Ricardo Kaká is Real Madrid´s number 8 !!!!
