Real Madrid midfielder Kaka said he was delighted with his debut after his side strolled to an easy win against Toronto FC.
Kaka played the first 45 minutes of the friendly game against the MLS side and was impressive as Real Madrid enjoyed an easy 5-1 win.
Two goals from Raul and one apiece for Cristiano Ronaldo, Arjen Robben and Karim Benzema saw Madrid home against weak rivals, however, it was all about Kaka.
The 65-million-euro signing made his first appearance in the famous white shirt and gave extra fluidity to the Real midfield.
“I am very happy with my debut and for being able to play with Real Madrid,” he told the club website on Saturday morning.
“I didn’t score a goal, but the main thing was to make chances and I took an important part and felt very comfortable playing alongside the other players. Real Madrid affects a lot of people and I am happy to be a part of this club,” added Kaka.
Real Madrid will play DC United tonight before traveling back to Spain to continue with pre-season training.
“We are still in a time of working hard and improving, now we have to keep on working and hope that everything works during the season. We have a strong squad and we have to have continuity all season,” he added.
